John 14:16-17 is written “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another HELPER, so that He may ABIDE with you forever, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you”.

And what is the truth? – John 8:31-32 is written ‘So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in MY WORD, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the TRUTH, and the truth will set you free” and also in John 17:17 it is written ‘Sanctify them in the truth; your WORD is truth’.

His Word is the truth, and this means the truth is hidden into thy word and therefore we need the Holy Spirit (author) to reveal (uncover) and teach us the truth.  Thus for the Holy Spirit to easily guide (lead) someone into truth, a person often needs to abide (accept and act) into God’s word for it is a standard of living.

Psalms 40:8 is written ‘I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart’. This means if not for the law to be in his heart it was impossible for him to do God’s will. Yes, since he has the truth in his heart it is possible for him to do God’s will and that is why it is written ‘But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people’ (Jeremiah 31:33, Also refer Romans 8:2).

The presence of the Holy Ghost in a person reflects the presence of the law, truth, life in that particular person. Now if that is the case why then do we need to abide in his word for us to know the truth and be set free? It is because of the element of ‘free will’ in a human being. Jesus promised to give us another Helper, now the issue is why this Helper who is the Spirit of the truth?. The following are the important facts to know in regard to that:

• Guiding humankind – John 16:13 is written ‘However, when He, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, He will GUIDE you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will announce to you things to come’. There is a hidden truth; it is the Holy Ghost who is mandated and thus capable of revealing, teaching and guiding us into that truth. God is calling us to give him (spirit of truth) a chance to lead us into a right path.

• Teaching and reminding human kind – John 14:26 says ‘But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things which I said to you’. The Holy Spirit has a master plan of your whole life on earth; he is there to lead you on the right path of its accomplishment. For you to reach your divine destiny you need complete guidance of the Holy Ghost. On the other hand for the work of the Holy Ghost to guide you to be easy you need to abide in the word of God.

This was a secret behind a successful living of Brother Gaius. In 1 John 3:2-4 the Bible says ‘The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth’.

Let us see an example of Jesus experience – in John 8:28-29 it is written ‘So Jesus said to them, When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him’.

Also in John 12:49-50is written ‘For I have not spoken on my own authority. Instead, the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and how to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I speak, therefore, I speak just as the Father has told me’. Allowing the Spirit of truth to lead your life will help you always do the things that are pleasing the Lord (John 8:28-29).God is ready to lead you, what he requires from you is obedience to his guidance in your life.

Who is guiding your life? Is it God, self or Satan? God is ready to guide you and through this message, God is calling you to allow him to have control of your soul and let him lead your life unto his divine destiny. Thus at different life decisional points including schooling at all levels, marriage, locations to live, work, Daily matters etc., make sure you let him lead you unto the right path.

Since both obedience and disobedience are at mans’ discretion due to ‘free will’ man should choose to be led by the Spirit of God otherwise he will end up in vain and suffering. God’s word will tell or show you the truth and the truth will set you free, Yes he will guide you into the truth for he knows and he is the truth, the light. Light reveals light and darkness reveal darkness, I besiege you to choose the light for you won’t regret.
