  • THE FRUIT OF PATIENCE

This is the fruit that shows the patience of God to men, although they are sinful. God is patient and he give them the time to turn and repent. He is slow to anger and compassion for his people. He love to draw them to repentance. ".... The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and abundance, keeping merciful for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; not ascribing evil man who was innocent would never ... ". Exodus 34: 6, 7.

We can continue to learn about the patience of God, before he brought a flood of water upon the earth in order to destroy the mankind because of the evil they were doing. He gave them a period of time if they will repent. "People should obey the past, God's patience while waiting in the days of Noah, while the ark was made; wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved in the water". 1Peter 3:20. Those who did not repent were destroyed by the flood of water, as the scripture says, "For a lot of patience, he put up with the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction". Romans 9 : 22.

From these verses, we can see if God was not patience to us, no one would survive but all we would perish. Therefore we must obey salvation that God brought to us by sending Jesus Christ to us to heal lest we will not be judged, as scripture says, "We will escape, if we neglect such a great salvation? Who first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard it". Hebrews 2: 3.

    Tolerance of Jesus.

Jesus Christ was seen a woman in Thyatira church named Jezebel, who has called himself a prophet. He teaches false doctrines and some of them accepted his teachings and follow it, then He gave them time to repent before he bring a judgment on them. "But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman, who calls herself a prophet and teaching and beguiling my servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent, and if she do not want repent her fornication. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her, to the great tribulation unless they repent of their deeds; I will kill her children with death. And all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the reins and hearts.

I will give unto every one of you according to your works". Revelation 2: 20 - 23. In these texts we have been able see that are the typical of the current church, where our Lord Jesus Christ is watching over the church, and deserve to justifies those who do not deserve will be judged.

    HOW TO BE TOLERANT.

    1. Wait and trust God in prayer: In this world wide adversity there are difficult or troubles which are facing the righteous. But you should wait and trust God in prayer as you know he is your help. "I waited Lord with patience, He bowed and listened to my cry". Psalm 41 : 1. "They that trust (who relied on) the Lord, are like Mount Zion, Who it's rock, abides forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people". Psalm 125 : 1, 2.

    2. Trusting God and wait for the promises of his word: "I have waited the Lord, and my spirit has waited for you, and in his word I hope. Let Israel hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is mercy (help) .... ". Psalm 130 : 5 , 7.

    3. Do not be the blamer: This is another important thing to consider. "Do not grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer". 1Corinthians 10 :10.“Don't be angry with each other, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: If the Lord forgave you, so also do ye". Colossians 3:13.

Following these you have build up in tolerance, you have not anxiety, fear, bitterness, pain despair. Is then his word shall be fulfilled as it written, "Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say, rejoice". Philippians 4: 4.

  • THE FRUIT OF THE FAITHFUL

Honesty is one of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the scriptures. We will learn the faithfulness of God found in His Word. In his word He said he will fulfill what he promised, not only for the people of Israel but for those who live according to His word. Therefore, in our case we must also be faithful to perform according to his word. "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; A faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. And it will be, because you keep these judgments, and do them, then the Lord thy God will give the covenant and mercy which he swore to your fathers". Deuteronomy 7: 9, 12. "So prove to be my word that goes forth from my mouth is free but it will return to me, and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it". Isaiah 55:11.

    CHARACTERISTICS OF A FAITHFUL MAN

    1. The faithful person is He who acted according to orders, rules and regulations: If a person is employed to do a domestic or the government work he must work according to the requirements and nature of that work, not to be a thief, one who received bribes, relentless persecutor or not crafty. You can see about a hired homework servant that had to do with loyalty as it written; "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing". Matthew 24: 45-46.

    2. Never sin: Joseph who was the servant of Potiphar was faithful when he was tempted by the Potiphar’s wife to make with her a sin of adultery but he refused. "... His master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph, he said, lay with me. But he refused and said to her .... how should I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?". Genesis 39: 7-9.

    3. He do not takes anything from someone else, whether it is money or property that is not legitimate to him: When he gives money for any payment and refunded extra money (change) he returned the excess amount. If he saw a man who had dropped money or lost anything he restored. In doing so he obeyed and submit according to God's word, "When you see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray .... must restore to your brother. And if thy brother is not near you, and if you do not know her, you take her to your home, be with him until thy brother seek, and return the .... again did so with everything lost of your brother .... " Deuteronomy 22: 1- 3.

    The importance of being honest/faithful.

A christian who is faithful, God believe and appoint him for a work of the ministry. We can learn from some people whom he saw them to be faithful and he chosen them to be servants of his work, for example Jesus, Moses and Paul. "... Jesus who was faithful to Him who appointed him, as Moses also was faithful in all God's house. And Moses indeed was faithful in all God's house as a servant .... ". Hebrews 3: 1,5. Paul was faithful that's why he wrote and he say, "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, because he considered me faithful, putting me in his service". 1Timothy 1:12.

REQUIREMENT OF A PERSON WHO PERSEVERE TO BE FAITHFUL.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth because he had faithfully. When tempted by the Devil he acknowledged and he did not do anything wrong. Even when he was approached during the arrest he said to his disciples, he say, ".... the king of this world is does something to me". John 14:30.

For the Christians who are saved, filled with the Holy Spirit and he persevere in faithfulness, the Holy Spirit reveal all the subtle Satan plan to tempted him. When standing firmly in the word of God, Satan comes and try them in trouble and distress. Do not let the thought of the devil, but resist and rebuke him, by telling him, go Satan. "Then Jesus said to him, Get thee hence, Satan, the devil left him .... Then ...." Matthew 4: 10-11. "Submit yourselves therefore to God . Resist the devil and he will flee from you, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you .... " James 4: 7-8. From this text one can be closer to God and when rebuke to Satan, satan get away if they comply living according to how the word says.

Those who are born again ought to overcome the world and who is in distress because they are greater than the devil, and he defeated the witness as saying, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world". John 16:33. On the other hand, we learned from the word of God we can recognize and resist the wiles of the devil. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12 : 11. ".... be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life .... He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death (hell)". Revelation 2: 11-11.

What happens to a person who remains to be honesty.

    1. God will bless him and his descendants . "A faithful man shall abound with blessings". Proverbs 28 : 20. "The just man walketh in integrity (honesty) wives, his children are blessed after him." Proverbs 20 : 7.

    2. God wants to be near to you when you called or pray. "The Lord is near to all who call on him, all who call on him in truth”. Psalm 145 : 18.

    3. He pleases God. "Those who are perfect in their ways are His delight". Proverbs 11:20.

  • THE FRUIT OF GENTLENESS

The goodness of God to mankind.

    1. This is the fruit that reflects the goodness of God to the wicked and righteous, because he do good to all. The christians who are saved, must be identical to do good to others like Him. "That you may be like the children of your Father in heaven; for He makes his sun rise to an evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust". Matthew 5:45.

    2. He shown his kindness to save us. "But the goodness of our Savior, God, and his love for mankind appeared, He saved us". Titus 3: 4.

    3. His kindness influence the sinners to repent.
"Or do you despise the bulk of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing the goodness of God leads you to repentance?". Romans 2 : 4.

HOW CAN WE TREAT OUR ENEMIES.

    1. To forgive and pray the blessings to them.

"Bless those who embarrass you; bless and do not curse". Romans 12:14. "But I say unto you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". Matthew 5:44. "People who do not pay evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; because that is what you were called to inherit a blessing". 1Peter 3: 9.

    2. To do good to them.

"Repay no one evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. But your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; For in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good". Romans 12: 17, 20 - 21.

By doing so, the Lord will be on our side, he will help us to pay retaliation to our enemies. "Do not say, I will recompense evil; Wait for the Lord, and he will recover". Proverbs 20:22. "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord". Romans 12: 19. Soon the Lord will revenge because he said, "Revenge is a change for me, and pay; For the day of their calamity is at hand, and the outcome will result in a hurry". Deuteronomy 32:35.

    Prerequisite in practicing righteousness.

When a person is doing good, it is not well to be seen or advertise to other people in order they can note him. "Beware of practicing your righteousness before men, to be seen by them; because if you do like it, have no reward from your Father who is in heaven". Matthew 6: 1. From this text we can learn that when we are doing good, we do it for the glory of God. He alone is the one who can reverse the glory for those who are doing good. That is why God has warned us and say, "I am the Lord; That is my name; and My glory I will not give to another ... ". Isaiah 42: 8.

A). The rewards to those who are doing good. They will inherit the kingdom of God.

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory; and all the nations will be gathered before Him; and he will separate as a shepherd separates sheeps and goats; He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left hand. Then the King will say to those on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of the Lord, inherit the kingdom prepared from the foundation set world; for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye visited me; I was a stranger and you welcomed me; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison and come to me.

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when we saw you hungry and feed you; or thirsty, and we gave you a drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome thee, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see you sick or in prison, and came unto thee? And the king answered them, 'Truly I tell you, you have done to one of these brothers of mine , you did for me. "Matthew 25: 31- 40.

B). The rewards to the people who do not doing good. They will be judged and punished in the torture of eternal fire.

    "Then he will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, ye cursed, into the fire of the eternal prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you not gave Me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me not a drink; I was a stranger, you didn't welcome me; naked, and ye clothed me not; I was sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not;

Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick, or in prison, and did not help? He will reply, 'Truly I tell you, As you didn't treat one of these little ones you did it not to me. And these shall go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous to eternal life". Matthew 25:41- 46.

  • THE FRUIT OF KINDNESS

The meaning of the word kindness is helpful. God is our supporter and He pleases everyone who ran into him. "Beneficent (sponsor) and my fortress, and my deliverer, my shield I ran ....". Psalm 144: 2.

Helping the poor is a good thing and is necessary, that is why Jesus Christ has commanded by saying, "... must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said. It is more blessed to give than to receive". Acts 20:35.

The requirements for the one who helps the poor.

    1. Help with a pure heart without sorrow. ".... he who gives, sincerely ...." Romans 12: 8. "When you are living in the land the Lord your God is giving you, there might be some poor people living among you. You must not be selfish. You must not refuse to give help to them. You must be willing to share with them. You must lend them whatever they need. Don't ever refuse to help someone simply because the seventh year, the year for counseling debts, is near. Don't let an evil thought like that enter in your mind. You must never have bad thoughts about someone who needs help. You must not refuse to help to them. If you don't help the poor, they might complain to the Lord, and he would consider that a sin. So be sure to give to the poor. Don't hesitate to give to them, because the Lord your God will bless you for doing this good thing. He will bless you in all your work and in everything you do". Deuteronomy 15: 7,9,10.

The consequences to someone who helps the poor.

    1. His righteousness endureth forever. "They are free to give the poor, his righteousness endureth forever". Psalm 112: 9.

    2. He receives blessings. "Generous people will be blessed, because they share their food with the poor". Proverbs 22: 9.

    3. He puts the treasures in heaven.
".... Give the poor you will have treasure in heaven .... store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust will destroy, and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where no destruction neither moth nor rust and where thieves do not break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there is where your heart will be". Matthew 19:21; 6: 19-21.

  • THE FRUIT OF TEMPERENCE (GALATIANS 5:22)

The meaning of the word is relatively self-determination. The word amount comes from the Greek (enkrateia) which means self-determination. Word enkrateia comes from the word krat which means the authority or administration. The amount is optimal of the fruit of Spirit. This is important characteristic for every Christian who is born again to have. God created man and gave him the ability to govern himself that's why He gave us the fruit of amount.

Some of the most important things that we should fulfill in order to have the fruit of amount:

    1. Food.

Eating too much that's extortion. "Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these ... .those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5:21.

Elsewhere we read that we must not eat too much of it.
"Did you see honey? Eat a sufficient extent; you shall not eat until you will be sick". Proverbs 25:16.

    2. Visiting others.

Someone who goes home (visit) to other people frequently without important reason doing this is not a good behavior. That is why God teaches us by saying, "Your foot be seldom in your neighbor's house but that; Lest he be weary of the hate". Proverbs 25:17.

    3. The use of God’s gift that has given you.

It is important that everyone to be submitted when he is used in the gifts that God has given you without desiring the gifts of others. God has given each other gifts as he wills. Also everyone is a link to one another and has given different gifts, so that the body of Christ may be built up. When a person has been endowed with any of the gifts is not greater than another, but it is just a link, he is a constructor, worker and laborer in the body of Christ. A Man should not be ambitious of great things than the gift that he was given to him. We must serve using the gift which we are given. That is why it is written; "...Everyone in you should not be ambitious of becoming great; but have committed much, as God gifted every man the measure of faith. For as in one body we have many links, and all links have not the same office; so that we, who are many ingredients are one body in Christ, and members of one another. And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given; whether prophecy, let us give the prophesy according to the faith; if service, in his serving us; he who teaches, in his teaching". Romans 12: 3-7.

    4. Speak inexact.

It is important for a Christians who is saved to be careful not to speak too much, but first he should think first before talking. Talking too much has led many to stumble to lie. It is advisable to dominate everyone's mouth, speak quickness. "In the multitude of words there does not fail to be transgression; But he who restrains his lips is prudent. " Proverbs 10:19. "I said, I will take heed to my ways. Lest I sin with my tongue; I will put a bridle on my mouth, while the wicked is before me. " Psalm 39: 1. "Who restrains his lips is wise, and with a calm spirit". Proverbs 17:27.

    5. Control your thought.

You must govern your heart and your mind not allow bad thoughts, also you need to have self-control. If you have self-control, bad thoughts can't get a chance in you. You should think good thoughts and this pleases God. Jesus taught this and He said; "Either make the fig tree good and its fruit good; or make the fig tree bad and its fruit bad; for by its fruits the tree is recognized. You offspring of vipers how can you speak good things? For the mouth speaks his heart overflow. A good man out of the good treasure brings forth good things; and an evil man of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things". Matthew 12: 33-35.

From the above scriptures, it teaches us we can make a decision to determine the good or bad thinking that overflow from our heart. We are given fruit of amount to control ourselves which pleases God and we can stand firm in Jesus Christ.

    6. The lust of property and money.

Possession of property or money is not bad (sin), but one should work hard to earn them through legitimate for what the Lord had blessed. It is important to be satisfied with what the Lord has granted you in order to avoid to be a person who lust the property or money obtained through evil ways. Take control in your lives from too much of loving money. One must satisfied with what you have as God said, "I will never leave you; I will never run away from you”. Hebrews 13: 5. "But those who have the lust of money and property will be fall into temptation and snare, and many foolish desires and hurtful, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the root of all evil is loving money; which some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". Timothy 6: 9-10.
